Walking Group

The Walking Group commences in early May each year, walking on a Monday each week throughout the summer. The season then usually concludes with a final walk in early September followed by lunch.

Over the course of the summer most evenings have a turnout of 15-20 walkers, with each paying £1 per walk. At the conclusion of each season a cheque is presented to a charity chosen by the group.

New members of any age group will be made most welcome and are sure to find that there is great fellowship and social interaction within the group, especially when most Monday nights end up with a visit to a coffee shop!

All walks start at 7.00pm

5th May - meeting at Strand Road car park, Portstewart, for a beach walk.

12th May - meeting at East Strand car park, Portrush, for a walk to Ramore Head.

19th May - meeting at Portballintrae car park, for a walk to the Giant's Causeway

26th May - meeting at Strand Road car park, Coleraine, for a walk on the Trim Trail.

2nd June - meeting at Lions Gate, Downhill, for a walk around Castlerock

9th June - meeting at the Brown Trout, for a forest trail walk.

16th June - meeting at The Royal Court Hotel, Portrush, for an East Strand walk.

23rd June - meeting at the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, for a walk around the bridges.

30th June - meeting at West Strand car park, for a walk to Portstewart

7th July - meeting at Castlerock for a rural walk.

14th July - Meeting at the Lions Gate for a Downhill Forest walk.

21st July - meeting at Strand Road car park, Coleraine, for a walk at Ballycairn.

28th July - meeting at the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine,for a walk in Mountsandel Forest.

4th August - meeting at the Tramway, Bushmills, fora walk to Portballintrae.

11th August - Meeting at The Royal Court Hotel, Portrush, for a walk to Dunluce Castle.

18th August - meeting at Castleroe Wood car park, for a forest walk.

25th August - meeting at the Harbour Hill, Portstewart, for a walk around Portstewart.
