FREEWILL OFFERING and OUTREACH OFFERING

The work of our Church is financed through Freewill Offering (FWO) and Outreach Offering. Most of the income for the general running of Ballywillan is provided through the FWO envelopes, loose collections each Sunday and tax refunds from Gift Aid.

The Outreach Fund provides for our Church's total outreach and mission to others in need - it endeavors within its limited resources to cover needs in the following areas:- PCI United Appeal for Mission; overseas projects: our own country; our own community; and our own congregation.

HARVEST THANKSGIVING APPEAL

All our 2020 Harvest Thanksgiving Appeal donations will be shared between Christian Aid, Tear Fund and the United Appeal Fund and there are two ways to donate:

1) Using online banking. You will be making a payment to Ballywillan Prebyterian Church.

(Danske Bank) Sort code 95-04-27 ; Account Number: 01036467 In the reference line write Hv followed by your surname and initials (e.g. HvSmithAR). The reference line will appear on the Ballywillan Bank Statement and allows your gift to be correctly recorded.

2) Using a " Ballywillan Harvest Envelope" or a Blank envelope which has your full name, FWO number and "Harvest" written on it. Your donation can be handed in at church at a Sunday Service, or on a Monday morning OR you can ring the office 02870822612 to arrange for it to be picked up.

GIFT AID TAX REFUNDS

this can be applied to all donations to the Church provided that the contributor pays tax or has tax deducted at least equivalent to the claim being made by the Church. A donation made under Gift Aid enhances the Church's income by 28%. Therefore on a donation of £10 per week the Church will receive a further over a year £146 from the Inland Revenue. If you are a taxpayer or have tax deducted from income we would encourage you to sign a Gift Aid Declaration available from the Church office.

STANDING ORDER PAYMENTS

Many people have traditionally made their donations to the Church using the Freewill Offering envelopes. It has become increasingly expensive to have these numbered boxed sets of envelopes printed for every family or individual member. To reduce administrative and printing costs we would want to encourage as many congregation members as possible to switch to using Bank Standing Orders as their method of regular giving to the Church Freewill Offering and Outreach Offering. If switching to using Standing Orders you can choose to give on a Monthly, Weekly or on an Annual basis.
