Walking Group
The walking group commenced on Monday May the fourth, continuing for the next sixteen weeks, with our last evening walk on Monday the thirty-first of August. To conclude the season we had a Saturday morning walk on October the third in Roe Valley Park Limavady, followed by lunch in the adjacent restaurant.
Over the course of the summer period we had an average turnout of seventeen walkers per week with each of them contributing £1 every evening and from this £250 is to be presented to the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association (NI). Each year a different member of the group is given the opportunity to select the charity of their choice, to which the money is donated.
Our first walk of the incoming 2010 season will take place on Monday 3rd May, meeting at the East Strand car park in Portrush at 7p.m. New members of any age group will be made most welcome and are sure to find that there is great fellowship and social interaction within the group, especially when most Monday nights end up with a visit to a coffee shop.

Verse of the Day
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
