PW met on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from September through to March. The theme for the year was “All Things New” when we were asked to encourage one another to examine our lives in the light of God’s Word.
PW is focused on mission work at home and abroad and we as a group always strive to maintain this work.
We started our meetings off in September with a “New Beginnings” evening when several members gave a short talk about new things that had taken place in their lives. In October we had Fiona Watters come and talk about recycling.
November started off with the Autumn Rally in 1st Limavady and then we had Catherine Campbell come and talk about her book “Under the Rainbow”. At the end of November we had a Pampered Chef “Party” as our fundraiser.
Our Christmas Party in December proved to be good fun with table top games and a lot of laughter. This was followed by a lovely Christmas Supper.
In December the PW also provided the supper at the annual Candlelight service.
The first meeting in January was low in numbers because of the very treacherous weather conditions, but the brave few that turned out enjoyed a Bible Study together. The very talented Margaret Pitcher amazed us with her Encaustic Art in the second half of January.
Numbers were up again for February when Linda Gibson, Deaconess spoke about her work in Maghaberry Prison and Dame Joan Harbison about her work as “Older Peoples Advocate”.
We still have to look forward to our members night and also Mary Good talking about Patchwork. To finish off the season we all hope to go out for a meal together to a local restaurant.
We would like to extend a very warm welcome to ladies of any age in our congregation who would like to join us when our new season begins in September 2010.

Verse of the Day
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
